Owner Ruzica Cuk opened Pekara Bakery and Bistro in downtown Champaign in 2005 and the Pekara Bakehouse in Midtown in 2008 to serve wholesale customers.
"We do everything from scratch. We use all natural ingredients. We don't put preservatives in anything. Everything is made by hand, we do not use machines."
